YABC

Referral Only -YABC is NOT affiliated with MHA. It is a program referral for students who wish to participate in order to catch up on credits, learn course content, and to get back “on track” with credits before September.

  • Without YABC, there would be no opportunity to catch up with credits this summer since MHA does not offer a full, in person, summer program.

    • Due to staffing limitations, MHA only offers a short, virtual credit recovery, program for students who were close to passing, but needed additional time and assistance.

  • This program is for students who need to repeat a FULL course due to poor attendance, non-completion of work, or non-mastery of skills and standards during the regular school year.

    • Taking these full courses is the best way for students to be eligible and prepared for August Regents Exams.

  • All YABC Programs prioritize 12th Grade Students eligible to graduate in August and current or past YABC students, but they may accept other students, if seats are available. MHA staff went ahead and sent your registration forms—- you must follow up to see if you were accepted.

  • If you were accepted, you should request to complete the core courses you have not yet completed, but should have, based on the promotion criteria shared with you on the last day of school and mailed home to you.

  • BRONX- Clinton High School YABC program has a higher chance of taking 9th,10th, and 11th graders.

  • YOUR NEXT STEPS: YOU Must e-mail YABC to ask if you were accepted and if seats are available. Ask if you have been officially registered to start classes in July.
